Oberdorfer is a traditional Bavarian beer brand brewed in southern Germany by the Allgäuer Brauhaus. The brand gets its name from Markt Oberdorf, an old village in Bavaria now known as Marktoberdorf.
The Protected Geographical Indication (PGI) is a certification that highlights products with a strong connection to their geographical origin. It ensures that production steps such as preparation, processing or manufacturing take place in the designated region. Issued by the European Union, this label protects regional specialities and promotes their quality and tradition. For Oberdorfer, the PGI certifies that the beer is truly brewed in Bavarian kettles – a mark of traditional brewing craftsmanship, authentic ingredients, and regional origin.
