Each month here at the Witch we feature a beer from the Old World in a half liter can (16.9oz)
It being the month of September we tip our witch’s hat to the Munich, Germany region of the world as Fest season begins the middle of the month and these traditional brews from that region are absolute classics.

Oberdorfer is a traditional Bavarian beer brand brewed in southern Germany by the Allgäuer Brauhaus. The brand gets its name from Markt Oberdorf, an old village in Bavaria now known as Marktoberdorf.

The Protected Geographical Indication (PGI) is a certification that highlights products with a strong connection to their geographical origin. It ensures that production steps such as preparation, processing or manufacturing take place in the designated region. Issued by the European Union, this label protects regional specialities and promotes their quality and tradition. For Oberdorfer, the PGI certifies that the beer is truly brewed in Bavarian kettles – a mark of traditional brewing craftsmanship, authentic ingredients, and regional origin.

Grab a half liter $5 can next visit and enjoy the joys of this style Bavarian Festbier with each sip.

Open today at 4pm.
Witching Hour goes til 6pm with all 32 taps (but the 1 marked) are $5 each.

September is upon us and we navigate the heart of the hurricane season and the summer heats and constant rains as we head to Autumn.

But also get to enjoy some great seasonal ales and lagers along the way.

One great way to explore our 32 taps is by taking advantage of the various size pours we offer daily. Plus a taster trio tray of a pick three is just $5 too and a great way to try new things.

Half pours are half the price shown so that means during our Witching Hour which has full pours at $5 each translates to $2.50 each for a half pour.

Tap list can be found on our website 24/7 and is updated quite often and is accurate at the start of each day too.

As August heads to September on this last Sunday of the month we have tapped up our 2nd Oktoberfest Style Marzen Lager to enjoy. This one hails from Chicago’s Half Acre Beer Company and is their Lager Town which is a classic take of this classic style. Order a pint today and get some free brewery swag too while supplies last~~~~ shirts, frisbee, stickers, pins and even match books (remember back in the day grabbing some match books at various places you visited to save in a drawer to add to your collection)

Speaking of Chicago today’s Sunday Session for Live Music is host Josh Nelm’s Sunday Blues show with special guest guitarist Shaun Rounds from Orlando joining in on the fun. There might be a couple Chicago style blues guitar back and forth fun riffs during this gallery inside concert from 4:30-7pm.

Wine spotlight is a red blend of 59% Petite Sirah, 20% Zinfandel, 14% Syrah and 7% Lagrein matured for 10 months in 60% new French oak named The Pessimist from DAOU Family Vineyards in the Adelaida District of Paso Robles, California situated on a 212-acre hilltop estate at an elevation of 2,200 feet. Offered in a 375ml bottle for a nice option to enjoy two glasses from.

THC seltzer spotlight is a salted watermelon version from Cornbread H**p of Kentucky and only 30 calories with just 5 grams of sugar.

Non alcoholic spotlight is Cheerwine zero sugar, Cheerwine is a southern cherry based soda founded in 1917 in Salisbury, NC during what was then a sugar shortage.

Taps ~~~ 3 of the 32 anyway spotlighted here are a classic west coast style IPA from Collective Arts Brewing named Ransack the Universe. A hop combination of Galaxy hops from Myrtleford, Victoria in Australia and Mosaic hops from Yakima, Washington, USA that clocks in at 6.8%.

Walking Tree Brewing’s Babycakes Oatmeal Stout, which won a gold medal in 2021 at the Great American Beer Festival, has a malt base backbone of chocolate too giving it that familiar flavor of chocolate cupcakes with the oatmeal.

While one of our 2 dedicated cider tap lines hails from France and one of the oldest and most well known cidre regions of the world ~ Pleudihen-sur-Rance, Bretagne France AVAL Cider’s Blanc. Using 100% Brittany Apples and mostly sour apples this low tannin, zero sugar added and gluten free cider is lighter on the palate while having a more mineral body that makes it a refreshing option and perfect pairing with maybe even some Thai Food from our neighbors at Sab Cafe.

Flying into the weekend our Friday here at the Witch begins at 3pm when we open.

Wine, why of course we offer 29 different options including the one pictured here, Santa Margherita Pinot Grigio from the Alto Ridge of Italy is a terrific summer sipper and is offered in the half bottle size of a 375ml portion (why have just one glass when two are in these size bottles). By the single glass though 14 varied varietals offered and each during our Witching Hour are just $5 each too from open until 6pm (even on Fridays)

Non alcoholic refresher, well of course we have these too. 27 different choices including the one pictured here, Reed’s Zero Sugar Extra Ginger Beer in a can.

Taps, well of course that’s what we are pretty known for with our 32 rotating options flowing daily. Pictured here include a super refreshing summer wheat from Lost Coast Brewing with their Watermelon Wheat. An old school west coast style IPA from Ravenous Pig Brewing is their Revel in the Petrichor at 7.2% brewed with Pilsner malt giving a clean clear appearance that then bites you with a hop combination of chinook, citra & Zumo (new hop now in the wild). And of course it’s late August so the fest season is beginning and we have Von Trapp Brewing’s Oktoberfest Marzen on kicking off that dedicated tap line to this beer style through the season.

Original Live Music is staged here at the witch weekly and this evening from 7:30-10pm join us for the Gracie Topp Duo of Gracie & AJ from the Sunset Bridge Band as they share their songs inside the gallery in another summer series living room style free concert.

Happy Friday everyone !!
