Two years ago we set out to elevate the offerings on St Pete Beach and we accomplished that and then some. We created a 5-star, high-end restaurant all kudos go to an amazing chef, Mauricio Jiminez, and FOH manager, Nina Krench and staff. Unfortunately, the cost to run a restaurant today is astronomical. This coupled with a landlord that was more interested in charging per car for beach parking than allow patron parking, commercial neighbors in our strip mall who disallowed any opportunity for growth and made bogus complaints to the city and a bogus lawsuit for a food allergy make it not worth the struggle. Now with construction proposed for right behind us that could take well over a year, we have made the difficult decision to shut down Sea Grapes effective today. We appreciate your business these past two years. If someone else comes along and creates something great in your community, please support it. Restauranteurs are making pennies off your dollar, if that. So be nice and understanding when costs may go up a little. It’s worth it to keep something you love to spend a little more. If you are looking for a good dinner on St. Pete Beach, we highly recommend Agave and Sola Bistro 🥂

We had a reservation for 8pm and arrived at 7:50pm and were seated immediately, which was a refreshing change. The service was spot on and the food was delicious. Our server was attentive to our needs and my wine glass was never low! All three of our dishes came out exactly at the same time and the plating was lovely.
There was nothing left on our plates when we were done! They had a Key Lime Brûlée that was to die for. It was a great way to finish the experience. I highly recommend this restaurant. 5 stars all the way for us!”
