Hey there neighbor – we’re the Handsome Hog, a contemporary Southern restaurant on Cathedral Hill, serving lunch, dinner, brunch, & a midday happy hour. Our food is pig-centric, our drinks are bold, & our doors are open.

THE FOOD

We call our food contemporary Southern and it’s very pig-centric. We use all the parts of the hog, from the snout to t

he tail. We’ve got all your Southern staples too, like Chicken N Waffles, Brisket, Gumbo and a spicy Jambalaya. THE LIBATIONS

We like bourbon. That’s why we have over 100 bottles of it behind the bar and are barrel aging some of our own for future enjoyment. But there’s more than just bourbon at the Hog. Try I Drink & I know Things or the crowd favorite Sage Against The Machine. We also have the Classics including an unforgettable Old Fashion and a smokey Vieux Carre called We Smoke Anything. It’s a big, beautiful list of cocktails that you will remember & love forever & ever amen. If you don’t feel like being filled with the Spirits, we’ve got you covered. The Dirty Bird, our take on a N/A mojito, local craft beers, perfectly paired wines—we’ve got a liquid that’ll quench your thirst.

Hello everyone, it is with heavy hearts that we share this unfortunate news. After nearly a decade, The Handsome Hog will be closing its doors for good by December 30th.

To our amazing guests—we would like to thank you all for your support over the years. You have brought us so much joy and we truly appreciate being a small part of your lives.

To our staff, both past and present—we couldn’t have done it without you. Thank you for your hard work and dedication. Your contribution has made this such a special place to work, and a staple in St. Paul.

From our little corner in Lowertown, to our corner on Cathedral Hill, there’s no doubt that we’ve shared many great moments together and a substantial amount of some damn good Bourbon. 😏

So this is last call, we’d love to serve you at “The Hog” one last time. Please join us now-through December 30*. What can we get you? 🫶

🔥The Buffiyaki Flatbread🔥

Smoked chicken tossed in our sweet–spicy–savory buffiyaki sauce, layered with melty white cheddar, thin-sliced red onion, and a shower of crispy fried parsley—all on a golden, crackly flatbread.

It’s smoky, tangy, a little sweet, a little spicy, and perfectly crunchy in every bite.

📍Available all week during happy hour and dinner—just ask for it. Not on the menu, but definitely worth hunting down.
