Mark your calendars! On Saturday, September 26th, starting at 8:00 a.m., we are thrilled to host West Homestead Healing Herd right here at Northside Tavern for Ghostlight Days!

Bring the whole family—young and old—to the north side of our establishment to meet, pet, and connect with these incredible animals. It is completely free to attend, though donations are greatly appreciated! Every dollar helps the herd continue spreading love and comfort on their visits to local retirement homes and farmers markets.

Parents, we've got you covered for the early start—we are kicking things off at 8:00 a.m. with our Mimosa and Bloody Mary bar drink specials! 🥂🍅

To our wonderful community,

As the new owner of Northside Tavern, I want to address the concerns being shared regarding the removal of the dollar bills from our ceiling.

I completely understand that this was a long-standing tradition and a piece of the bar's history. However, upon taking over, we found that the bills had unfortunately accumulated years of dust bunnies and heavy debris. For the health, safety, and cleanliness of our kitchen and your dining experience, leaving them up directly above where people eat was simply a risk we could no longer take.

We deeply respect the history of this establishment and the patrons who left those bills behind, and we want to ensure that history serves our neighborhood. Every single dollar removed from the ceiling is currently being gathered and counted. 100% of these funds will be donated to a local nonprofit organization right here in our community.

Furthermore, to show our commitment to this neighborhood, Northside Tavern will fully match the total amount collected from the ceiling, doubling the impact of the donation.

Once all details are finalized, we will follow up.

Our goal is to build a clean, welcoming, and community-first environment at Northside Tavern, and we are incredibly grateful for your patience and understanding as we navigate this transition together.

🎉 THE WAIT IS OVER! 🎉

The wait is finally over! North Side Tavern has officially received all of our licensing under the new ownership, and we are ready to open our doors.

We will be officially open starting tomorrow, Friday, September 4th at 11:00 AM!

Most importantly, we want to say a huge thank you to the St. Marys community for your incredible patience and support during this transition.

We know you've been missing your favorite local spot, and we are so grateful for your enthusiasm and understanding while we got everything finalized.

Headline: 🚨 Opening Update from Northside Tavern! 🚨

Hey Saint Marys! We have a quick update regarding our opening plan.

We were pushing hard to open our doors tomorrow, but we are currently waiting on the final stamp of approval from the State of Iowa for our liquor license. Because we want to give you the best experience right from day one, we are adjusting our timeline just a bit.

📅 NEW OPENING TIME: This Friday at 11:00 AM!Our fingers are crossed that the paperwork clears by tomorrow. No matter what, our kitchen will be open this Friday at 11:00 AM to serve up our food menu! If the license takes a little longer, we will kick things off as a restaurant first, with the bar fully opening the second the state gives us the green light.

Come hungry, because we are rolling out some delicious new items to the menu! We will be serving up chicken gizzards and liver, crispy boneless wings with multiple sauces to choose from, and as you are all aware, fresh homemade pies! 🥧

As we open our doors, we kindly ask our amazing community for a little patience and grace for our staff. We just installed a brand-new system, and our team will be learning the ropes and smoothing out the kinks during our first few days.
