From November 4-11, both Blue Earth and Nicollet County plan to participate in Operation Green Light for Veterans, a nationwide effort uniting counties to support military veterans.

Residents, businesses and other organizations are encouraged to participate by simply changing one light bulb in their home to a green bulb. By shining a green light, we let our veterans know that they are seen, appreciated, and supported.

We want to thank everyone who sponsored, attended, donated, and supported the St. Peter benefit this last week.

Every donation, helping hand, and person who came out to show their support made a difference and reminded this family that they are not alone.

While no amount of support can take away the pain of this tragic loss, the outpouring of love has helped surround this family with comfort, strength, and hope during one of the most difficult times of their lives.

Thank you to everyone who gave their time, resources, and hearts to make this benefit possible. Your kindness will never be forgotten, and the impact of your generosity will mean more than words can express.

Thank you for showing up, giving generously, and reminding this family what kind of community we are.
