Thank you & Farewell ♥️
To all of our loyal customers,
We did our best in the worst of times. We have made the decision this past weekend (November 6th) to permanently close Bella. While our plan was to hold on much longer, we simply couldn’t. With staffing shortages, long hours, the stress of covid, and time away from our family, it all was too much to carry on.
Many of you know that we were working overtime for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Like many small businesses, especially those in the hospitality industry, we not only served within our establishment as the owners, but also the managers, the cooks, register workers, and dishwashers most days, and at all hours. And while we were serving you on a Friday and Saturday night, we weren’t serving our own family, specifically our children, in the way that they deserved.
It has been a true honor and privilege to serve the St. Charles community during our years of service with DRM Cafe & Bella. Many of you have become more than just customers for us, but friends and family! We have shared great talks with you, memories, celebrations, and of course delicious food. We cannot thank you enough for all of your support and encouragement through the years, it means so very much.
We would like to thank all of the wonderful staff at Bella’s for your service and support as well. And we specifically want to thank our amazing chef Diana, who traveled with us from DRM and into Bella, running the kitchen as the most dedicated, professional, and hardworking employee we have ever had.
We will always be proud to have offered the community a taste of our traditions, culture, and passion. It was a fun and wild ride, and we are grateful for the experience and all the amazing people we met along the way.
Thank you again...you’ll be seeing us around town, enjoying time together as a family, enjoying our beautiful city... a bit (ok, a lot) more relaxed, present, and happy! We will continue to serve the community with our three residential homes located in downtown St. Charles, which is a business that the Migo family has owned and operated for over twenty-eight years.
