Oh my goodness. What an amazing and surprising day. We started thinking the future of the bus was uncertain but after a miraculous phone call out of the blue this morning things happened very fast. The bus was moved and loaded and is on its way to a new life. Mr Craig Smith is responsible for organising the removal but the amazing Marshall and his team were able to actually persuade the bus onto their low loader and slowly make their way to a new location. The dream is to restore the bus as far as is possible and give it a new life.
It has been a day of tears. Of sadness that the bus has gone and of happiness that the bus lives on.
Thank you to Mr Craig and Mr Marshall for achieving what we all thought was impossible.
We are very grateful to you both.
I am sure everyone would give a cheer and a round of applause to these wonderful gentlemen.
Thank you all for your efforts to save the bus.

A massive thank you to each and every one of you. You have once again risen to our aid, the response to our Bus SOS was phenomenal.
You have shown beyond a shadow of a doubt that the bus is indeed a true icon and landmark.
The bus is 72 years old. It was built by British Leyland in 1952. It is 14’3” high, 26’ long and weighs approximately 9,448Kg. My Mum drove it to the pub 36 years ago and it has stayed as a beacon since then.
Many of you are experts in the removal of large objects and several of you have visited the bus in the last couple of days with a view to moving the bus. Sadly the unanimous expert advice is that because of the vicinity of the electric power lines, plus the fragility of the bus, coupled with the height restrictions on the highway it will not be possible to move the bus.
We know many of you were anxious to give the bus a new home. Our hope is that the new owner reading and seeing the tremendous outpouring of dismay and grief from the whole community will relent and allow the bus to remain where it is.
Our heartfelt thanks again for the incredible amount of support you have given us and more importantly the bus.

Ladies and Gentlemen we are pleased to announce the dates for the long awaited Pub Memorabilia Auction - Saturday 21st and Sunday 22nd December 10 am till 4 pm both days.
Take home your favourite item. Beer handles for your home pub, wartime memories of planes and ships, pound the beat in a genuine policeman’s helmet, grace your hallway with a genuine copy of a suit of armour plus his little stable boy, an antique curiosity, a yard of ale. You are all familiar with the pub and its contents. Roll up roll up for the one and only chance to get your hands on one of these lovely cast iron tables or a large beer mirror. The bass mirror is also available as is the beautiful candy till. Items from as little as $5.

After 32 incredible years, it is with mixed emotions that we are closing the Pub, at 5.00pm on Sunday, 15th September. This journey has been one of passion, dedication and countless cherished memories, and we want to take a moment to express our deepest gratitude.
To our beloved patrons: Your unwavering support, and loyalty have been the heart of our restaurant. Every visit, every meal shared, and every smile exchanged has meant the world to us. We have been honoured to be a part of your lives and celebrations over the years.
To our amazing staff: Your hard work, dedication, and camaraderie have made the Pub a special place. Your commitment to excellence and your warm, welcoming spirit have been the backbone of our success. Thank you for being more than just colleagues; you have been family.

Happy 4th July to all you lovely peeps. Today we have fresh baked Rosemary and Himalayan salt bread, chillie and Parmesan and crusty white. Our fabulous desert special is peaches and custard tart drizzled in a peach syrup. Delicious.
