Sarah will be back providing massages at our next dance!

Sarah is a certified Massage Therapist and the founder of Mindbody Reeducation. Based on J Street in Sacramento, her approach to bodywork is intentional, heart-centered, and grounded in the belief that the body holds deep wisdom. She supports clients by encouraging them to slow down and tune in, helping them reconnect with themselves through thoughtful touch and nervous system regulation. Her work blends Eastern and Western modalities and techniques, mindfulness, and a deep respect for the body’s natural rhythms. She’s also a lover of dance and looks forward to moving with everyone on the dance floor!

Payment options are offered on a donation-based sliding scale starting at $15 for 10 minutes, or $20 for 15 min. Accepted payment methods include Venmo, Cash, or Apple Pay.

If you haven't gotten to experience her massage at dance before, make sure to try it this time!

When building community, showing up with 100% is not what's necessary.

It's consistency in your presence. Being there for others, and showing up routinely, is what makes the difference between somewhere you go to have fun and where your people are at.

Our crew and many of our regular dancers share this regularly. They just kept showing up till they had built a community. If you are craving community, make sure to come dance with us tomorrow. Doors open at CLARA Auditorium at 7:20pm.

For our dance on Friday, we are so excited to welcome Kelley Pullman, The Yoga Angel for our sound bath.

Yoga has been part of her life and work for many years. After traveling around the globe for a couple of years, she found herself in northern Malaysia, where she completed an immersive Sound Healing training. She had already been incorporating Tibetan singing bowls into her work, but this experience took her understanding of sound and vibration to a much deeper place. She fell in love with the way sound can move through us and create space for something to shift without having to do anything at all.

Since then, Sound Healing has become a beautiful part of what she shares. She brings it into her classes and out into the community, creating opportunities for people to experience sound for themselves.

Make sure to stay till after dance to experience her sound bath from 10 to 10:10 pm!

Mobile Modalities is back and offering chair massage right on the dance floor.

Megan Knight has been practicing massage for seven years. She lives in the Sacramento area, and her goal is to make the world a less tense place. With both dance and massage helping people move freely and feel at home in their bodies, she is excited to serve our community again.

On the floor, Megan offers chair massage at $3 a minute with a 5-minute minimum. She can focus on your neck, upper back, mid back, lower back, or glutes. Her style adapts to your preference, from deep tissue to lighter touch. She accepts cash and e-payments.

Come find her on the 21st. Don't have the date on your calendar yet? Check our pinned post for more info about our next dance.

Although this happened on the street outside the Clara, with someone who is not part of our community, we felt it was important to share.

Sometimes on (and just off the dancefloor) it can feel like a little bubble. Which is great, but practicing safety is important too!

Excited to dance with all of you while practicing safety on and off the dance floor.

For our warm up activity on the 21st Saturn will be joining us to lead a Hip and Spine Activation.

Saturn is bringing a belly dance inspired opening activity to help prepare our bodies and minds for a night of liberated, ecstatic movement. We will warm up our entire bodies from head to toe, then focus in on the hips and spine with gooey movements like lateral waves, undulations and hip figure 8s.

Saturn is a multi-disciplinary movement artist who combines their academic background in Psychology with a lifetime of dance, circus and theatre experience. Their movement practice is centered around mindfulness and neuroplasticity - connecting mind and body by engaging in novel movements, and giving the brain opportunities to create new synapses which can fundamentally change the way we think and feel.

Doors open at 7:20 pm for a 7:30 pm start for our workshop. Make sure to arrive on time to experience this magic!
