Volunteers Needed
**Will turn into paid positions if we do this right.**

My tournament and league formats are coming together and I'm confident you'll like my innovative ideas.

I need a few people that want to jump on this train before before it leaves the station. If you like being a Team Captain in any league, and you've thought about possibly making pool your career...comment here or find me at HardTimes any Thursday night. Ask around for Rick, the 6Ball guy.

I also need league administrators with experience or potential to help with organization, as well as Shooters that would like to be 6Ball Ambassadors to demo the game at various venues and sign up traveling league teams and hosts.

My league format keeps the whole team involved through the entire match and includes Doubles, Tripples matches. Each Shooter comes to the table at least 3 times during each match, instead of playing one set and done.

Tournaments will go through multiple rounds, with the game itself stepping up in difficulty with each round.
It's a format that's new and I think it will be popular.

A couple of my APA teammates came out on our bye week to check out 6Ball and play a few games.
Thank you, Roger and Robert!
Here's what I learned:
1. I had a method for dealing with tied frames, but it fell apart with more than 2 shooters playing in the same game. Solved.
2. I found it fun to watch my opponents play...
and, I noticed several players on other tables that couldn't keep their eyes off of us 👍.
Nobody came over to inquire, though 🤔.
3. My 6Ball format made it easy to discuss different table reads for a single break.
4. Since the 6 ball doesn't look like a special ball, it's too easy to shoot it down without realizing it. I guess that's why the 8 ball is black and the 9 ball is the only striped ball in 9 Ball. Today I ordered a couple of special 6 balls from PoolDawgs. That should fix the problem.
5. After using the bridge, don't put your good cue in the bridge rack by mistake...
It will freak you out unnecessarily!😂

Hi all!
I have a bye in APA tonight, so I'll be at HardTimes introducing 6Ball to anyone who wants to check it out. I'll be there from around 7 to 10 and I'm hoping to get a few good sticks to give it a true test. Look for the table that's racking funny!

Update:
My office is set up and I'm hard at work on the introductory 6Ball rule book.
Once this draft is finished, I'll have it evaluated by a few good Shooters, make some edits, have some illustrations done and send it off to the publisher.
This is exciting!

Update 1/27/22:

I struggled in practice at Hard Times yesterday, but I met Saeed and showed him 6Ball-OPEN.
We played a few frames, it was my first time playing with an opponent.
Saeed said he enjoyed 6Ball. He found it both fun and challenging, and said he'll continue using it as a practice tool, which is one of my intentions for 6Ball.
Saeed is first on the 6Ballerz Shooter's Roster, anyone who would like to join him and become involved in our first exploratory tournament (no date until we have 12 or more Shooters), you can find me at Hard Times on Tue or Wed afternoons practicing and teaching 3 of the 4 games in the 6BALL Suite. The 4th and most precise is 6Ball-PRO, which I'm keeping under wraps until we start our Olympic run, possibly in 2023 for the 2028 games.

Not many people know me yet, but I'm usually the only one with a tripod taking video of myself and I don't bite, so come on over and get involved...

Progress Update
A new version of 6Ball has emerged. It's now officially a "suite" of games, with four. As soon as I get my home office set up I'll write the book of rules.
I need to find someone with some level of league management knowledge and/or experience. I want to set up a "Shooters" league, as well as a casual league. I think you'll like my simple handicapping system.
I play 6Ball and capture video on Tue or Wed afternoons at Hard Times, I'm happy to teach and play with anyone who wants to see the future of pool.
