We wish this were an easier message to share.

Less than 24 hours after we closed our doors to the public for the final time, on Easter Sunday, was entered by a coordinated group acting on behalf of our landlord.

This entry was not scheduled with us, and we were not provided the opportunity to be present.

During this time, cash and business equipment were removed from the premises without our authorization. The building was then illegally barricaded, and we were denied access before we could return after the holiday to complete closing procedures and retrieve our remaining property.

This is not only a theft, but an egregious violation of our rights as tenants.

We are treating this matter with the utmost seriousness and are currently pursuing legal action.

We also want to extend our sincere gratitude to the for their professionalism, responsiveness, and support during this situation. Their assistance has been greatly appreciated.

At this time, on the advice of legal counsel, we are unable to share further details.

However, we felt it was important to acknowledge what has occurred and keep our community informed.

Thank you for your continued support and for standing with us.

Melancholy. That’s the only word that comes to mind this morning.

It’s the end of an era. The closing of a chapter.
And yet… it doesn’t feel like an ending.

Because how do you really say goodbye to something that meant this much? To a space that held so many firsts, so many risks, so many nights that turned into memories before we even realized it?

We’re not big fans of goodbyes.
This isn’t one.

It’s just an “until we meet again.”

was never just these walls — it was the people who filled them. The performers who took the stage, the staff who held it all together, the crowd who showed up again and again to make something out of nothing.

You built this.
You made this real.

And while the doors may close, what was created here doesn’t disappear. It carries on — in new spaces, new stages, new nights that will feel just a little bit like this one did.

So tonight, we don’t say goodbye.
We say thank you.

For everything.
For all of it.

Tonight we close it out with Kicks The Keg: Closing Down Cabaret — one last night, one last stage, one last chance to be in the room.

Fifteen performers.
34 performances.
A full night of drag, draglesque, and everything this space has held over the past six months.

The lights are still on — for now.
The drinks are still flowing — for now.
And the room is ready one last time.

Last month’s pop princess showcase was pure joy. No pressure, no overthinking — just a room full of people having fun to the songs they know by heart.

Sometimes it’s not about being perfect.
Sometimes it’s not about being polished.
Sometimes it’s just about feeling it.

And that’s exactly what this night was.

This one means a lot to us.

Our Open Stage 2 with wasn’t just a show — it was a glimpse into what’s next for our community. Another room full of new voices, first-timers, and rising performers stepping up, taking risks, and finding their footing under the lights.

And from there? It grows.

been lucky to watch it happen in real time — helping raise the next generation of performers in Rutland County, giving them a space to try, to fail, to shine, and to come back stronger.

That stage held a lot of firsts. And a lot of future stars.

As we keep looking back, it’s not just the shows — it’s the purpose behind them.

Bailey’s wasn’t just a stage. It was a space to show up, speak out, and put our energy toward something bigger.

Our Punk 4 Justice night was exactly that — loud, raw, and rooted in community. We fundraised almost $350 for with / / that night. A room full of people coming together, not just for the music, but for a cause that mattered.

Bands brought the noise. The crowd brought the energy. And together, we turned it into something that went beyond the walls of this place.

We’ve been lucky to host nights that weren’t just fun — they meant something. Nights where art and activism collided, and people showed up ready to support each other.

That’s something we’re incredibly proud of.

As we look back on these last six months, this one stays close to the heart.

Our Valentine’s Day show — Kings & Queens of Your Heart — was one of those nights that reminded us exactly what could be. Full of love, a little chaos, and a room packed with people showing up for each other.

We had the chance to welcome incredible talent like and to the Bailey’s stage — something we don’t take lightly. It also marked the return of our mystery guest, , back on our stage for the second time — a moment that felt just right.

But what made nights like this so special was the mix. The chance to put up-and-coming performers on the same stage as established, statewide talent. That kind of crossover doesn’t happen everywhere.

And it meant everything to us to be able to create those moments — where someone might be performing one of their first numbers, right alongside someone they’ve looked up to.

Last week at felt like something out of another world.

took over the stage and turned into a full-blown spectacle — circus, sideshow, burlesque, and drag all colliding in a way this city has truly never seen before.

It was strange. It was stunning.
It was a little bit unhinged in all the right ways.

The kind of night where you just look around the room and realize everyone else is just as locked in as you are.

This is what happens when artists are given space to go all in. This is what Bailey’s was built for.
