● After 35 years of serving the community, the time has come to close our doors. While we are excited to start this new phase of our lives, doing so is bittersweet. Yoba's Tavern opened in 1987 when Steve "Yoba" Elwood entered the bar business by purchasing Tom's Tavern, a small bar

in the space immediately north of our present building, where he offered only burgers and pizza. Father’s Day weekend of 1993, Yoba and his soon-to-be wife, Carol, bought our current building, the former Alonzo's Market. Here the business grew and they kicked off the twenty-first century by stepping into the restaurant world, building Yoba’s into the community staple it is today. We would like to thank all of our current and past employees who have been on this journey with us. Thank you, also, to the family members who have stepped up and helped us throughout the years. We could not have done it without you! ●
