Fletcher and I each had the privilege of meeting Barry and Jill while we were in Florida on separate trips and this weekend they made the trip all the way to Rushville to visit us! They got the full experience with stops at The Lipsticked Pig and the Pig & Platter.

It was so nice seeing them again, catching up, sharing some laughs, and introducing them to a few of our hometown friends. It’s funny how you can meet people miles away from home and end up making a friendship that brings them right back to your little corner of the world.

Barry & Jill, thank you for making the trip! We loved having you here and hope Rushville treated you well. Come back anytime — you’ll always have friends waiting for you at the Pig! ❤️

We lost a good one. 💔🎶

We are so saddened to hear of the passing of Levi Hermann. Levi played at The Lipsticked Pig many times, and anyone who had the chance to be around him knows he brought a whole lot more than music with him.

He was funny, he had a big heart, and he could always make people smile. He was the kind of person you were simply glad to see walk through the door.

Our thoughts and prayers are with his family, friends, fellow musicians, and everyone who loved him.

Rest easy, friend. Thank you for the music and the memories. You will be missed at The Pig.

We’ve got a week off from pool before our banquet next Sunday, but that doesn’t mean you have to take a week off from eating at The Pig! 😋

Stop in today — we’re serving up homemade Chicken & Dumplings and plenty more! Come hungry, grab a cold drink, enjoy some good food and hang out with us.

No racks to break today… just biscuits!
