Why do Black men hate their own women? That’s how it can feel when our strength is praised in a mother but punished in a partner.
We’re told to build something, then humble ourselves when we do. Be independent, but never make him feel like we don’t need him. Have standards, but be careful they don’t bruise an ego.
And Jamaican men😡unuh disappoint mi too. 🇯🇲
Having our own doesn’t mean we don’t want love. We still want tenderness, consistency, and somewhere safe to lay our burdens. Being strong doesn’t mean we never get tired.
A woman’s success cannot tell you whether she will love you well. Neither can her struggle.
So talk the truth: are you judging how she treats you,or how her accomplishments make you feel?
