We hear you, and we wanted to take a moment to respond to your experiences - in specific, the last few nights…

The past 2 years have been the most challenging times of everyone’s lives. We closed the chapter of our Lawrence, KS location, and set sights on Austin, TX

The rebirth of Bayleaf in Austin, came with its own sets of obstacles, most that were able to move through with dear patience and many times going back to the drawing board. This pandemic was new to all of us, and as small business owners, saw our fair share of hurdles to overcome -staffing being a major one.

As we prepared to open our doors, we recognized the fact that we did not have a full team (in both the kitchen and dining floor) to create the experience that we are well known for. While creating flavorful authentic dishes for our guests is our passion, so is creating unique memorable experiences for our guests.

We look forward to having you as our new and returning guests again, and thank you in advance for your patience.

We are pleased to announce the opening of BAYLEAF INDIAN RESTAURANT + BAR, a family owned and operated authentic northern Indian restaurant.

Our story started 28 years ago in Wichita , KS as PASSAGE TO INDIA where we quickly became the number one place to enjoy authentic northern Indian cuisine.

In 2015, we opened our sister location as BAYLEAF INDIAN RESTAURANT + BAR in Lawrence, KS.

Fast forward to 2022, we are thrilled to announce our opening.
We offer a variety of authentic North Indian dishes, and are happy to accommodate to all dietary needs ( vegan, vegetarian, gluten free)
Our restaurant offers dine- in options as well as take-out orders. Delivery services are available through our direct website Ubereats as well as Doordash ETC.

We are so excited to get to know you, Austin!

We’d like to take this time to thank you for your continuous support over the past few years. We inhaled hopes and exhaled fears as we started our story here in Lawrence at 947 New Hampshire Street. Having each of you walk through our doors for a unique Indian dining experience was a true honour, and one that we will not forget. Thank you to each of you, for being a part of our story.
