The Story of JBITs

JBITs is the name of a community joined together by forces much larger and more dignified than any one of us alone: Cheap booze and deals on appetizers.

Scott, owner of Leaping Lizard Liquors in Roswell, GA at the beginning of 2020 embarked on a humble mission with like-minded beer fans Kara, Art, and Tara to gather dear friends and beloved acquaintances on the second Thursday of each month… really just for the hell of it.

A man with connections in delicious places, Scott coordinates JBITs meetups with different local pubs, bars, and restaurants owned by people he knows (or will know soon– message us if you want a JBITs event at your fine establishment) to set up a new deal every month. Leaping Lizard Liquors and the host location link up to offer discounts on food and drinks; and, opting for the magnetism of full transparency, the founding partners called the group Just Because It’s Thursday. Affectionately ‘JBITs,’ the name serves as a reminder to all of us that the most satisfying answer to the question “why party on a Thursday?” is a defiant “why not?”
