Meet Gladis Alelila García Ramírez — the one holding it down at the mezcalería.
Three and a half years con Yeyo's. A year running this kitchen. She started with the family and grew into the backbone of daily operations — organizing the team, keeping service tight, making sure every plate and every pour leaves the kitchen right.
Ask her favorite drink and she won't hesitate: mezcal margarita. "ReĂșne varios sabores que mi paladar disfruta al mismo tiempo," she says. The earthiness, the smokiness, the balance, the refresh — she gets it the same way our guests do.
Neta, this place runs because people like Gladis show up and do the chamba right, every single day.

Cuba Libre goes back further than the drink — the name was a rallying cry during Cuba’s fight for independence, before it was ever poured in a glass. Around 1900 in Havana, off-duty soldiers mixed Cuban rum with Coca-Cola, just landed on the island, and a splash of lime — raising their cups to “¡Por Cuba Libre!” Ours takes a turn: Charanda in place of rum, sugarcane spirit from Michoacán. Same toast, otra tierra, otra historia.
