In old timey London when life was a bore
This is Long Island, you’re on the south shore
Praying at midnight, eating seafood galore
Aunt Cindy and grandpa have started a fight
Debating on politics all through the night
I can’t take it here, they arose such a clatter
Nana said cousin Lucy got fatter
Before knives are out I think I shall scatter
Where do I go? Is everything closed?
I ask my drunk uncle as he always knows
We hop in my ride, I am driver of course
His shiny red nose leads the way to Dark Horse
They welcome us in with Christmas cheer
I’ll have some tendies and a few beers
No tickets tonight I’ll leave my sleigh here
