Whether it’s jazz, blues, ragtime, funk, or even hip-hop you’re craving, we’ve got something for you here in Rockport over the next two weeks.

A husband. A wife. An astonishing duo built on love, family, faith, culture and community. These are the things that power The Baylor Project featuring Jean Baylor and Marcus Baylor. This enticing collaboration is steeped in the heart and soul of jazz. As the children of Pastors, Marcus’ and Jean’s musical roots were planted deep within the church, and it was there that the road was paved for the influence of jazz, gospel, blues and soul to make its mark.

Emerging a decade ago from the underground parties of Brooklyn to touring worldwide and recording a string of albums that’s racked up more than 60 million streams, the Hot Sardines’ own “potent and assured” (The New York Times), “simply phenomenal” (The Times, London) brand of reinvigorated classic jazz landed them at the center of a whirlwind.

Tuba Skinny, the pride of New Orleans’ vibrant and fertile trad jazz scene, returns to Rockport for two shows! The beloved Crescent City collective started out over a decade ago as show-stopping French Quarter street buskers and have since turned into one of the greatest musical ambassadors of New Orleans, traveling the world with their spirited takes on Depression-era blues, spirituals, ragtime and traditional jazz.

Huntertones consistently turns heads and grabs ears with distinctive, horns-of-plenty happenings. On stages, in studios and across the internet, this malleable unit offers an inimitable blend of jazz, funk, pop, soul, hip-hop, and R&B. In parallel to full-group pursuits—appearing on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert and performing with Lawrence, Lake Street Dive, Louis Cato, Kurt Elling and Charlie Hunter, and Cory Wong—Huntertones’ horns operate both in the pocket and outside the box. In every way, shape and form, Huntertones captivates with a connective energy like no other.
