Darts Anyone ??? A fun social game anybody can do. By Monday afternoon, the group chat was already buzzing.

“Darts tonight?” Kyle asked.

“Absolutely,” Jenna replied. “I need a rematch.”

“Rematch?” laughed Luis. “You beat me once because I was distracted by the fries.”

That was how their tradition began: a few friends, a little friendly competition, and a night out at Don Carter Lanes. On Mondays and Fridays, from 5 to 11 PM, they could play darts for free. It was an easy plan that gave everyone something to look forward to after a long day.

At 6:30, the friends gathered inside Don Carter Lanes. The bright signs and familiar sounds of the bowling center welcomed them in. They found the dartboards, claimed a spot, and decided that the winner would earn bragging rights until their next visit.

Jenna volunteered to keep score. Kyle stepped up first, rolled his shoulders like a professional, and threw. His dart landed safely on the board, though nowhere near the bullseye.

“Great start,” Jenna said, writing down the score.

Luis followed with a confident aim. His dart landed closer to the center.

“Beginner’s luck,” Kyle said.

“Call it whatever helps,” Luis replied.

Then it was Jenna’s turn. She took a breath, focused on the board, and tossed. The dart struck the bullseye.

The group erupted. Jenna jumped in celebration while Kyle stared at the board in disbelief.

“I’m still distracted by the fries,” he announced.

They played round after round, trading jokes and celebrating every lucky shot. Sometimes the darts landed exactly where they wanted. Other times, they bounced off the board or ended up in a spot that made everyone laugh. Nobody minded. The fun was in taking turns, cheering each other on, and enjoying the game together.

Before long, a couple of other friends stopped by to join them. The teams changed, the score became more complicated, and everyone had a different theory about the best way to aim. Jenna insisted on a steady stance. Kyle said confidence was everything. Luis claimed the secret was not thinking too much.

When the final round began, the score was tied. Kyle stepped up, took aim, and landed a solid throw. Luis answered with one that edged closer to the center. Jenna needed a strong shot to take the lead.

She smiled, raised her dart, and threw.

It landed just outside the bullseye.

Everyone groaned dramatically, then burst out laughing. Jenna bowed as if she had planned the near miss all along. Luis won that round, but no one could agree who had truly won the night.

As they packed up, Kyle checked the time. “Same place Friday?”

“Of course,” Jenna said. “I’ve got a bullseye to reclaim.”

They headed out still joking about their best and worst throws. For them, free darts at Don Carter Lanes had become more than a game. It was a reason to get together, laugh, and make an ordinary evening feel like a night worth remembering.
