Cynthia is new to the United States, and her husband is a full time student. As you can imagine, the budget is really tight. Since they share a car, she needed something to get around on, and something to exercise with. In many scenarios, i serve as a middle man, providing a pathway for excess resources to allocate to those in need. So, id like to thank Citrus Cyclery for providing this donation.

A lot has changed with the way we do business and the people involved over the years... as small as we are I still try to help in a big way. Thats why when "Maryam" from Riverside County social services contacted me, I decided to reach out and help personally. This is a bike of mine from my own quiver that was given to me years ago. It usually sits unused in my garage as a loaner. From today on it will be permanently on loan to an (anonymous) high school student who normally has to walk 6 miles to school. Maybe a moderate bike commute to campus will inspire him to become a cyclist just as it did for me back in high school.

Jhon (pronounced "john") was given this bike and it needed EVERYTHING. So, we fixed it front to back and I gave him an A-Z crash course in bicycle repair. The bike will spend a night in the infirmary, and when he brings fresh tires to install, he'll have a great commuter.

The Bicycle Lounge went great on sunday. Jeff Daigeneault brought his 29r project over and we dialed it in front to back. It got new cables, trued wheels, adjusted brakes and gears and a rebuilt headset. Stop by every sunday 12-4 for free bike repair and service.

Hey all,
If anyone is interested in getting the Bike Lounge going again, talk to me at the Cycledelics ride this Friday night. I'll have a steel on black fixed gear and a backpack full of music. Hit me up if you're interested in helping out or have a place to set up.
