With everything going on in the world — and our community continuously being a target — we hope that one day, we won’t have to come out. We’ll simply say, “We’re in love,” and that’s all that will matter. 🌈

Happy National Coming Out Day 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️

Whether today fills you with joy or nerves, whether you’re making a public announcement or quietly telling yourself it’s okay to be who you are — know that we see you, we love you, and we’re here for you.
You are valid. You matter. Always.

Matthew Shepard didn’t die because he was gay. He died because of homophobia.

On October 6, 1998, 28 years ago tonight, an ordinary boy was beaten, tied to a fence in a pasture outside Laramie Wyoming and left to die. He was 21. The people who came upon his body believed it was not human but a scarecrow but for the only part of his face not covered in blood were two white lines running down his cheeks where the tears had dried.

His death was horrific yet not in vain. This ordinary boy set in motion a fight for equality, a fight for dignity.
The hatred that killed Matthew didn’t die with him. It lives in conversion therapy and in every law aimed at q***r and trans people.

Honoring Matthew means fighting until every LGBTQ+ person is safe, affirmed, and free to be who they were created to be.
