‼️7 years ago today we were frantically preparing to open our doors again after an extensive remodel. We budgeted approximately 10 days to complete the project. Sunday to Thursday.
A few pictures below don’t do justice to the enormity of the project! 🤬Not-so-fun-fact is that we were closed on March 17, just 6 months after reopening.
Johnnie’s has seen quite a few facelifts over the years, but it has always been locally owned and staffed by the owners and a handful of hardworking employees.
🎶 A regular music schedule is something we’ve added over the last 10 years. Comedy too. 
 We have live music every Friday, some Saturdays. Comedy season begins on Sept 17!

Tonight we have Zeb Sears, a musician that has been with us for at least 7 years! He always brings a crowd + fantastic sound. 6-9

Kelley from the Tuesday Pool Girls brought in this hoody-gem and requested Dave wear it. Of course he said yes! Kelley’s roughly 5 feet at best, so she sweeps the floor with it. But it fit Dave perfectly!
We are taking this opportunity to announce the RF Fighting Fish vs Osseo on the big screen at 1:30! It’s the WBA State Championships in Marshfield this weekend; last year the Fighting Fish defeated Osseo in the finals to win the State Title!
We’re definitely tuning in Brewers vs Dodgers tonight with Miz on the mound! Will local Alex Call face the mighty Miz? Who will you root for?

A lot is happening this weekend!
Summer is coming to a close, and you may find yourself trying to squeeze *everything* in! Pierce County Fair, Beach, Family time, etc.
Get in the car!
That’s what Katie & Luper did today. They are celebrating 50 years of marriage. They met in 1974 at UWRF, loved coming to Johnnie’s, and were very happy to visit again today to reminisce. Luper is in the mural (short guy in red & black at the bar). They loved coming to Johnnie’s Bar because they loved the people.
The community vibe at Johnnie’s Bar can’t be beat! 
We have music Friday + Saturday this weekend. Katelyn White is on the mic from 6-9 Friday. 
Saturday brings Ira Haze & the Straze to the patio (inside incase of weather). Ira is known at Johnnie’s for his smooooooth vocals, amazing harmonies, and eclectic selection of music! (he learned Dawes just for Dave).
We are SO excited to hear the whole band!

Patti has unequivocally denied our repeated requests to represent Johnnie’s by throwing out the first pitch at tonight’s Fighting Fish game.
Apparently, this picture is as close as we’ll get to witnessing her athletic prowess.
To no avail, we reassured her that it’s no different than throwing out an overly boisterous patron, something she’s perfected over the last 30-40 years.
We’re working with our legal team to get it added to her contract, hopefully in time for next year’s game!
