We are passionate about brewing high-quality beer that encourages a a spirit of thoughtful enjoyment. We serve our offerings in a comfortable taproom with an airy, rustic, colonial atmosphere true to our New England roots. Like the campfire depicted in our logo, Nod Hill Brewery is a welcoming gathering place for friends to meet, relax, and enjoy a locally brewed beer. Head brewer Kyle Acenowr's m

ain influences are the expressive, adventurous, and pioneering brewers of America, Belgium and England. In his own words, Kyle's brewing approach attempts to "emulate the best aspects of my favorite beers, while also adding in my own variations. Through experience and shared knowledge, I use traditional and experimental techniques to brew an array of styles. I find joy in blurring the lines between styles in order to create certain flavor profiles. To do this, I focus on improving my process so that each ingredient is in the right place, with the right potency. They should be pleasant, well rounded, and shared with friends.”

The father/son team of Rob and Dave Kaye have had a vision of opening a brewery for many years, with different inspirations and experiences informing it along the way. From keeping and serving cask ale in London, to spending nights drinking monk-brewed Märzen beer in Salzburg, to batch after batch of experimental homebrews, Dave and Rob were inspired to one day create a venue that reflected their love of beer and the magical experiences they had enjoying it at special places along the way.

Today we wanted to give a very special shout out to the team at Redding Roadhouse, who have been our ardent supporters, partners, friends, and Annual Holiday Party hosts for many years now.

Tucked away in the hills and forests of Redding, CT, The Redding Roadhouse is a bar, restaurant, and events venue with a delicious pub-style menu, the best vibes, and a carefully curated beer selection (in fact, they’ve been awarded best beer selection in Fairfield County by CT Magazine two years in a row!).

Their bar currently carries 5 different Nod Hill beers: Geobunny, Ace of Wands, One for the Trail, Rabbit’s Foot, and Featherbed Cherry…a great lineup for some amazing food/beer pairings, if we do say so ourselves (We especially love the Roadhouse Classic Burger x One For the Trail combo). We appreciate their support through not only carrying so many of our beers, but also through the excitement they bring in introducing our Nod Hill Brewery to the Redding community.

Check out the Roadhouse if you haven’t already - it’s just a 10 minute drive from our brewery. Whether you’re pulling up a stool at the old mahogany bar, grabbing a seat on the patio, catching live music, or booking out their space for your next event, they truly have a way of making everyone feel like a regular.

Ok so maybe we haven’t mastered the art of moonwalking quite yet… But we really just wanted to let you know that 𝕄𝕠𝕠𝕟𝕨𝕒𝕝𝕜𝕚𝕟𝕘 ℂ𝕠𝕨𝕓𝕠𝕪 is back in cans to-go!

This 8% New England Double IPA is brewed with Nelson Sauvin, Citra & Enigma Hops, Pale Malt and Unmalted Wheat. Big Nelson aromas of ripe melon, passionfruit, and Sauvignon blanc dominate, along with pithy citrus and juicy peach from the Citra & Enigma. The wheat lends a full, soft mouthfeel & the finish is clean and not overly sweet. Moonwalk your way on down to our taproom and get yourself a 4pk today🍻

06/03/2026

Every year, we brew a 6.7% NEIPA called 𝕆𝕟𝕖 𝕗𝕠𝕣 𝕥𝕙𝕖 𝕋𝕣𝕒𝕚𝕝 as a fundraiser for . A portion of the proceeds from every 4pk and draft pour sold will be donated to the NRVT.

We went on a little trail walk with NRVT’s Executive Director, Andrea Gartner, to find out more about current and future projects.

Andrea is leading the charge to create 30 miles of walkable, family-friendly trail connecting Calf Pasture Beach in Norwalk, CT to Rogers Park in Danbury - passing through Wilton, Ridgefield, and Redding along the way. When complete, this trail will pass right near Nod Hill Brewery!

This trail will give all the chance to hike, bike, run, walk, or stroll with a baby along the Norwalk River, along ponds, and up lovely Connecticut hills. It is also handicap accessible and dog friendly.

Follow to see their progress and follow the build-out!
One for the Trail is currently available on draft and in cans to-go🍺

𝕄𝕖𝕒𝕕𝕠𝕨𝕤𝕠𝕟𝕘 is a 6% Farmhouse-style blend that was aged for 12 months in our French Oak foeder (the very large barrel located near the entrance to the Backspace).

Foeder aging contributes a subtle oak character and allows Meadowsong’s mixed culture to slowly evolve over time. The extended conditioning helps develop layered farmhouse character, gentle acidity, and a soft, rounded texture while keeping the beer balanced and expressive.

A little history on this beautiful foeder: it is a 20bbl (620 gallon) French oak tank that was manufactered in Galeata, Italy. We purchased it new in the Spring of 2018. Our first beer to go into it was a robust porter, which took on the stronger aromas that oak typically passes along to a beer during the first fill. All subsequent beers that have passed through the foeder have been mixed fermentation ales - primarily, Meadowsong.

We’re proud to offer Meadowsong in both 750mL bottles to go and on draft to enjoy in our Biergarten. It’s one of our favorite beers we make at Nod Hill.

Introducing the other half of our sales team, Adam Rebillard!

Adam has worked in sales and distribution with our head brewer for some years now, and he joined our team at Nod Hill in December! Since then, he has been our sales teams’ leading presence in the Litchfield and Hartford areas.

His transition into sales was quite natural; as a musician, Adam already had years of transferable experience in the world of self-distro. His favorite part of this role is meeting and working with some really awesome and unique businesses around the state, and he loves the ability to culminate some great relationships with people of the industry.

Adam’s tried and true Nod Hill beer of choice is Beam, our German Pilsner. Come say hi to Adam, either at the brewery or bopping somewhere around the Litchfield/Hartford counties- he’s always down to talk beer, but also perhaps music, hockey, the ranking of every Alfred Hitchcock movie…. you name it🍻
