R E F L E C T I N G
Right before we opened Chefs in 2022, we were asked to judge an ice cream competition for the local fair. I was heavily pregnant so it sounded like an amazing idea. Followed by a funnel cake and tractor pull. It was a great night.
We were asked back in 2024 to host the cakes and pies portion. Through a sugar induced haze, on the way out of the fairgrounds, I remember seeing the line of banners-sponsors of the fair. I remember thinking-I hope we are able to give back to our community in a big way some day, they’ve been so great to us.
Fast forward to this year. We were fortunate enough to judge cakes and pies again (even if we had to ruin a few friendships😉), bake cookies for senior citizens day, hand out breakfast boxes for the livestock sale, and participate in both sales this year.
We’ve been to plenty of fairs, but there is just something magical about RIF. So many people with so much passion to make something great for the kids, while remembering the history of the town. We were proud to sponsor the Richwood Independent Fair💚
