Winemaker Luca Paschina will be off the presentation plantation Tuesday, the 13th, expecting to return here next Tuesday, the 20th. When last seen, he was pursuing pairing thoughts for Paxxito 2019, which was just declared Best Dessert Wine and awarded the Platinum Medal at 95 Points, in this year’s San Diego International Wine & Spirits Challenge. A pannetone pudding is topped with Madagascar Vanilla Bean-Whipped Cream and Paxxito-Soaked Raisins — to appear at Library 1821 and Palladio Restaurant this week, through Sunday. bbvwine.com/wine-shop/paxxito
