Today is all about celebrating freedom, community, and the people who make small towns like Richmond so special. As we celebrate Independence Day, we also have something we’ve been waiting a long time to share…

We are excited to announce that we officially have an opening date set for the revival of The Hideaway Tavern! 🎉

For now, we’re choosing to keep that date behind closed doors just a little while longer. We want to make sure everything stays on track so that when we open the doors, it’s exactly the experience our community deserves. Trust us when we say… the wait is going to be worth it.

The amount of support we’ve received throughout this journey has been overwhelming. Every comment, every message, every conversation around town, and every person who’s shared our excitement has reminded us why we took on this project in the first place. This revival is only possible because of all of you.

Many of you already know us as the owners of another Richmond favorite, Stella’s Bar & Grill. Being locally owned has always meant more to us than simply running a business. We’re community-driven, we believe in investing back into our hometown, and we believe that young people with big dreams can make a real difference right here in Richmond.

The Hideaway has been part of this town’s story for decades. Our goal has never been to replace that history—it’s been to honor it while creating new memories for future generations.

One thing we’re especially excited about is that we’ve added something completely new to The Hideaway—a space that has never existed there before. It’s something that’s incredibly meaningful to us at Stella’s, and we truly believe it will become something special for the people of Richmond as well. We can’t wait to reveal it when the time is right.

This isn’t just the reopening of a bar.

Richmond has always deserved places that bring people together—and that’s exactly what we’re building.

At Stella’s Bar & Grill, our goal has always been to create more than just a restaurant and bar. We wanted a place where families can enjoy a great meal, friends can catch up over drinks, coworkers can unwind after a long day, and our community can come together to celebrate life’s biggest moments. From our daily food specials and live entertainment to hosting birthdays, reunions, wedding celebrations, retirement parties, and community events, Stella’s has become Richmond’s local hangout—and we couldn’t be more thankful for the support you’ve shown us.

The amount of support, encouragement, and feedback we’ve received from this community over the past several months has been incredible. We truly don’t take that lightly. Thank you for believing in us and for being part of this journey. Your excitement, kind words, and memories have meant more to us than you’ll ever know.

Now we’re excited for what’s next.

The Hideaway Tavern is officially being revived, and every day brings us one step closer to opening the doors once again. We know The Hideaway holds a special place in the hearts of so many people, and our goal is to keep that feeling alive. We’re focused on preserving the nostalgia and bringing it back as close to how you remember it as possible, while making only the updates needed to enhance the experience and keep it thriving for years to come.

We also want to reassure everyone—Stella’s isn’t going anywhere. Stella’s will continue to be your hometown restaurant and bar, while The Hideaway will become its own destination once again. Together, we’ll be able to offer our community two great places to gather, celebrate, and make lasting memories.

We’re proud to be locally owned and community driven. Everything we do is for the people who have supported us from day one. Our vision has never simply been to own two bars—it’s to create two places where everyone feels welcome, where old memories are relived, new traditions are made, and our community continues to grow stronger.

The amount of support and feedback we’ve received from the community has been incredible. We truly don’t take that lightly — thank you for being a part of this with us. Seeing everyone’s excitement, memories, and stories about The Hideaway has meant more than you know.

The Hideaway holds a lot of history for so many people, and our goal is to keep that feeling alive. We’re focused on preserving the nostalgia and bringing it back as close to how you remember it as possible, with only minimal updates to enhance the experience while keeping its original character.

We also want to clarify — Stella’s isn’t going anywhere. Stella’s will continue to operate just as it is. The Hideaway will be its own location, giving our community two great spots to enjoy. We’re growing, and we’re doing it for all of you.

We’ve got a lot of exciting things coming soon that we know you’re going to love, and we can’t wait to share more as we move forward. This is just the beginning.
