A $4.69 billion w**e industry runs on more connections than most people map.

Look at any single Minnesota cold-climate w**e and you'll find a whole web behind it. University of Minnesota research develops the cold-hardy varietals, the vines bred to survive our winters. Growers put those vines in the ground. Extension services and resources like Growing Grapes in Minnesota carry the knowledge forward. Commercial producers turn the harvest into w**e. The International Cold Climate W**e Competition, co-sponsored by MWGA and the U of MN Grape Breeding and Enology Project, recognizes the best of it. And the consumer market keeps the whole thing moving.

Every year at the Cold Climate Conference, those pieces sit in the same room. Researchers, growers, and w**emakers all work the same problem from different angles.

Pull out any one node, and the rest feels it. That's what makes this an ecosystem, a community where every part depends on the others. 🍇
