Reno/Sparks and all of Northern Nevada Parents,
This is my friend Jessica putting this FANTASTIC Christmas event on. We were able to attend the Boo in the Boonies and it was an amazing time. If any of you are looking for some place to take your kiddos, Jessica has put this event together at Genoa Town Hall for only $30! There are professional photos, hot cocoa, and ALL the art projects for the kids. I am going to attach her message below for y’all!

It’s become apparent that the rising costs of the holiday season have made it difficult this year. My family and an absolutely incredible team of women have been working so hard to create a unique family experience for our community to enjoy, as we bring our families together and support each other in this season. When I first began to envision The Artful Santa, I envisioned families getting together and experiencing the type of Christmas magic that has us leaving renewed, joyful and hopeful for continued time spent together. I see children and parents being together and being creative. I see dramatic play taking off with imagination and magic. I hear the sound of music and I feel the love of interaction and snuggles with the Christmas bunnies. 🐰 I see families reading books together, sitting under blankets in the reading lounge, and sipping hot cocoa while Mrs. Claus takes a break from family photos to read some Christmas stories. Some classics that bring each of us back to our own childhood, and some new that inspire the next generation of children we are raising. I see a super cute and cozy Christmas scene for Santa photos, taken by some amazing local photographers. I see our local vendors sharing their craft and artistry with our community and reaching others with their talents. I see parents enjoying a little spirit 🥂 if they choose and taking a moment to unwind. I see kids working together to decorate our PINK 💓 Cotton Candy Clouds community Christmas tree. I see kids experiencing so many things and playing together in our Christmas dramatic play village. Scooping snow, baking cookies, making pies, serving hot cocoa, building and playing with toys together in Santa’s workshop. I see kids and parents roasting hot dogs and marshmallows together around our pretend cozy campfire, while exploring the little campsite. I see the discoveries made in Frosty’s igloo and the surprise of ice fishing indoors 🎣 . I see a dancing reindeer making moves! I see snow painting, and an outdoor adventure that supports our local businesses and gets families out on a winter day. Fresh air, glistening snow, and one beautiful little mountain town. Memories made that make their way into our hearts.
This mission means so much to me. It’s a mission to create childhood and family enrichment experiences. A deep love for childhood that our children can carry into adulthood. A community for parents and grandparents to make friends, support each other and share experiences. A community like we’ve never seen before but normalize into the future. ✨
I want the children and families of our community to experience this. I’ve decided to offer family tickets at a price of $30 per family. I at least need to cover a portion of my cost to make The Artful Santa happen, but I want more than anything to share the Christmas spirit together and be able to make The Artful Santa what it is intended to be.
*If you already purchased a ticket, the difference will be applied as a credit to future Cotton Candy Clouds offers and events.
Donation jars will be available at The Artful Santa this weekend for those who are able to help cover some of the expenses that went into creating this experience.
