🎉 TOTALLY 80s for a friend’s 40th! 🎉

Katie & Kristen here — celebrating one of our best friend’s 40th birthday in full 80s glory. Funny enough, our costumes came together last-minute, and turns out half of it was already hanging in our closets (the 80s are officially back 👀).

This is exactly why we love what we do at Flow’s Boutique Venue. It was never really about the party itself — it’s about pulling people away from their busy schedules and into one room, sitting down, and actually talking. Listening. Laughing too hard at questionable hair choices. That’s the good stuff. 💛

We grew up watching our mom throw parties that brought the whole neighborhood together — turns out it stuck. So here’s to milestone birthdays, last-minute shoulder pads, and the friends who make it worth the notice. 🕺💃

Some things are just meant to find their place.

The furniture in our front sitting room has been in our family for generations, held in storage, waiting for the right moment. When we brought this 1924 building back to life, everything finally clicked. These pieces didn’t just fill a room, they became part of it, woven into the architecture and the history of these walls.

Now what was once tucked away has a life again. Something to sink into, play a game at, gather around.

Designed to feel rooted in history, in family, in this community we love.

Well, it’s July! ☀️ Summer is in full bloom and Art Town has kicked off across Reno — and we are here for all of it.

Our booking calendar is filling up and we are so excited about it. We just love this little magical spot off Bell Street, and every time someone sends in a request to host their celebration here, it lights us up.

Baby shower, wedding, anniversary dinner, work celebration — whatever you’re celebrating, we’d love to host you. Our backyard is cozy, our inside is warm with historic architecture and beautiful details, and it’s the kind of place that makes an event feel like an event.

A gorgeous table is the easy part. 🍋

We could talk all day about the blue stripes, the citrus, the little brass candlesticks catching the last light of the evening — and we will, because we’re obsessed. But if you look closely at these photos, the real story isn’t the tablescape at all. It’s the people gathered, the conversations overlapping, the people who showed up to connect with friends.

That’s the whole point of a dinner party. The lemons and linens set the stage — but it’s the people you love most who actually make the evening.
