I have some extremely sad news for those of you who knew SirCharles (Charlie) Lester from the Bar West/5 Star Saloon days in Reno in the 90s. It seems his roommate allegedly murdered him and they found his body buried on the property where Charlie was living in Yerington Nevada. This is such a sad thing for me because Charlie was one of my best and oldest friends of over 34 years. we told each other everything. This is just horrible!!😪

Charlie loved hip hop music and it was because of him that Jerry Mott at the bar west had such great hip hop music on the juke box. I always called him Edith because in drag I told him he reminded me of Edith Bunker, he loved the drag name I gave him and saw it as a badge of honor in the Reno LGBTQ community.

Goodbye Edith, I’m going to truly miss you & I will miss your wit and gruff but funny personality, and I will miss the hours we spent talking on Facebook messenger and the phone for 34 years and I couldn’t not have asked for a better friend in my life than you! Love from your best friend forever, Love
