Spring has sprung, and we at Wow Redmond, welcome you in to try a lot of the new releases from Washington and California, Italy and France and points beyond. We did a lot of tasting this past month, culminating at the recent TASTE WASHINGTON event in Seattle. Check us out over the next few weeks on line (www.worldofwinesonline.com/shop) or in person if you are interested in the terrific new wines from Gramercy, Leonetti, Erica Orr, the delicious 'sleeper' bargains from Windy Canyon in Walla Walla, and the new 2016 Pinot Noirs, an exciting vintage, from our neighbors in Oregon! Recent tastings at the Gambero Rosso Tre Bicchieri Tasting of Italian wines revealed a number of superior wines that we already have or will soon from producers like Rubino, Pieropan, Elena Fucci, Scavino and many more fine producers.
If you haven't been in the store for awhile, know that we are changing the wine bar list frequently, so there are a lot of new wines for your delectation, all served via our Coravin® dispensing/preservation system.

Meet the Winemaker: March Cellars/Vital Wines

March Cellars is winemaker Ashley Trout's latest venture. She has been in the wine industry since she was 18 and has made wine throughout various parts of the world.

In 2016 she launched both March Cellars and a life long dream of a project; a non-profit winery whose funds go toward helping Walla Walla Valley vineyard and winery workers get more affordable health care. Vital Wines produces wines that complete a circle. All proceeds go to the SOS Clinic, a free, non-profit health care clinic in the Walla Walla area dedicated to helping people get the healthcare that they both need and deserve with no questions asked. Please join us in welcoming Ashley to WoW. Here's what we'll be featuring:

Malbec Around the World
While Malbec is Argentina's signature grape, its origin is the Bordeaux region of France, where it is among the "big six" for red wine grapes. While the grape has the potential to be made into the pure Malbec wine we know today, only the French region of Cahors does so for a variety of reasons. These wines are easy drinking and pair well with the heartier dishes we crave as the weather turns cold and rainy. Here's what we'll be sampling:
