Broadway Music Bingo is coming to The Tropics!

Join us Wednesday, September 30 from 7-9pm as we celebrate all things Broadway with music bingo, sing-alongs and Broadway-themed prizes.

We’ll also be raising money with Asher and Avery, contestants in this year’s Broadway-themed Dancing with the Shasta Stars, benefiting One SAFE Place.

Night of 1000 Dollys is taking over The Tropics. Come dressed as Dolly and GO FOR IT. Big hair, wigs, rhinestones, fringe, country glam, any era of Dolly you want. We want a bar full of Dollies.

Karaoke starts at 9pm and goes late. Sing Dolly, sing something else. Just remember: what would Dolly do?

Best Dolly Lookalike contest at 11pm, with a prize for our favorite Dolly of the night.

Book Night is coming to The Tropics!

Fiction Addiction Mobile Bookstore will be here Wednesday, August 26th from 5-9pm with books to browse and recommendations for whatever reading mood you’re in.

Inside, we’ll have a bookish Girl Dinner menu, a specialty cocktail, book matchmaking cards, and a quiet(ish) reading corner.

Come with friends or come solo. Browse, chat books, swap recommendations, make a new book friend if you want, and find your next obsession.

Two years of Joe at The Tropics.

Joe is one of those people who quietly keeps so much moving. From behind the bar to all the work that happens before the doors open and after everyone leaves, he notices what needs attention and gets it done.

He brings experience, consistency, care and a real sense of ownership to this place. He has been there through busy nights, big projects, unexpected problems and plenty of changes, and The Tropics is better because of the work he puts into it.

We’re genuinely grateful to have someone we can trust, rely on and laugh with as part of this team.

Happy 2-year Tropics anniversary, Joe. We’re very lucky to have you.
