Coming here to answer a question that someone asked earlier today and we have been asked before...
DO WE HAVE FREE POP? OR WHY DON'T WE HAVE FREE POP?
We do not. Here's why
1) We are a laundromat with slots. Because of that, we don't want to treat people differently. Giving slot players a free pop when laundromat customers don't get that.
2) Our laundry prices are cheaper by MULTIPLE DOLLARS per load than any other place in town.
3) We are not a bar, so we do not do the volume in liquor sales to pay for that. Beer is available, but we sell a handful a week.
4) Because we are not a bar, we do not have fountain pop (which is way less expensive). According to the internet, the average fountain pop only costs the owner .15. Our cost averages between .50-.60 per can.
4) We have spent a lot of money in the upgrades that have been made and will continue to make. We are not a non-profit, even though we collect, wash and donate items to the community. And we do give back in ways that maybe you don't see. Where did our old dryers go? We didn't scrap them, we let a kind regular do that. We have made upgrades to be more inclusive. It was important to us to unbury the handicapped entrance and fix the door (to the tune of $1000!!!) and to put in a wall hanging sink. It was important to improve the safety of the place by putting up cameras everywhere that can see the entire property and to repair/replace lighting. These are all costs that do not make us more money, it just makes this a better environment.
