Learn the lore.

Before The Ratskeller was serving cocktails, hosting chess nights and becoming Sir Rattles’ favorite underground hangout, this space had a very different job.

The Ratskeller is located in the former Wash House of the historic Dick Brothers Brewery complex. Part of the buildings that once supported one of Quincy’s longtime brewing operations.

When you enter through the Cellar Door, know it used to be a window well! 😳

So yes, you can come in on a Wednesday, sip whisky, play a game, and casually absorb some local history like the scholarly little cellar goblin you were meant to be.

And because history is better with a pour in hand:

♟️ Wednesday = Chess + Game Night. Dealers choice.

You can even Join the Wednesday Chess Club, hop into the new Chess Club Facebook group, or just come hang out and play darts, shuffleboard, or one of our board games. No chess skills required. Sir Rattles accepts all levels of chaos.

Made with Plantaray 3 Star Rum and housemade lime cordial, this one is crisp, bright and dangerously easy to like.

Simple? Ja.
Boring? Absolutely nein.
