And the censorship continues... here’s what was posted earlier on a couple of FB pages. Yes they were fact checked and not calling anyone out, but answering questions and allowing people to see the full picture and decide for themselves....
My question, why would you take this information down? Were you the one that knowingly did wrong? Were you the one that knowingly led people to believe something that wasn’t true? Did you jump to conclusions and inadvertently accuse “someone” that was really wrongfully accused? Hmmmm.... If that were the case, we are all human and make mistakes. Just say so!!!
If you don’t believe the following info, please feel free to fact check for yourself! I would love someone to prove me wrong. I don’t say that very often!
Just as an FYI, to keep everyone in the loop. There was (I did) some research to see why the dinners at the Post were cancelled and the meals were shut down by the health department.
There were accusations/statements that it was an Auxiliary member that turned the Post in and resulted in some negative consequences for the Aux. and the dinners being shut down. So...I needed to find out more, instead of relying on info that had no fact checks.
It appears that, from original posts, it was NOT an Auxiliary member that turned anyone in.
When posts are on a social media platform, you are subject to eyes beyond the members of the organization. This organization has a TON of supporters. Having the posts made about the kitchen (and the tear down and progress of currently having no kitchen) and the fact that there were posts about food being served out of the back door caught the attention of the “powers that be” without anyone having to “report” anything. THIS was clearly out of the realm of the current COVID rules, and rules the small businesses in our own community are required to follow. They too, have lost thousands and thousands of dollars.
That being said...the Post got their hands slapped/smacked through not fault of any ONE person. There was no one individual that caused this. It was a culmination of posts on the pages that related to the progress of the kitchen and the fact that they were still serving food and having bake sales that caught the eyes of the “powers that be”... If there is not a functioning kitchen to serve food out of, you cannot serve food out of the back door or have “food” “bake sale” fundraiser. I’m sure this has been a learning experience/lesson for the Post and will serve us all to know to follow current COVID standards set by the Governor. Not sure if this will actually get posted or could possibly be deleted at some point but wanted to shed the TRUTH of the situation. If you don’t believe me, do your own research instead of trusting what is initially put into print! Seek the truth instead of making hasty judgments based on someone else’s opinion. Please feel free to fact check me as well! Best of luck to the Post and Auxiliary in their future endeavors....
My hope is that this community can come together, at some point, to work together and build an amazing community for Veterans and their families, no matter the circumstances! 💕
