Dear Gleanery friends and family,
After twelve amazing years, we will be closing our doors on August 4th. We opened in 2012 with the incredible support of over 60 CSR members and a wide group of craftspeople, farmers, friends, family and community members. We have had the privilege of hosting many of your weddings and then serving your families, and the honor of holding celebrations of life for many who are no longer with us. And then there are the scads of dinners, lunches and brunches where we've served anyone who wanted to come and be a part of the Gleanery experience.
The years have indeed been wonderful, but I am now ready for a new chapter in my life. Running a restaurant really is a 24/7 job and, particularly with the post-pandemic challenges facing many in the industry, I am feeling the wear and tear. It is time to close.
It has been such an honor to have all of you in my dining room -- for more than a decade now-- and I will miss all of that terribly. We hope to see as many of your faces as possible in the next couple of weeks.
And I cannot thank you all enough for your patronage and support over all of these years.
With immense gratitude,
Elizabeth Ehrenberg
