We just had breakfast for the third or fourth time at Liz’s cafe. We’ve tried more times than that but they had a sorta long wait. But what do you expect when this little gem is making meals the way they do. Those time we didn’t wait was because I was hangry and thought I’d find something as delicious elsewhere. Let me tell you just how wrong I was. I will not make that mistake again. I will sit my little butt (it’s little…fight me) and wait with a cup of their delicious coffee. Before we sat we were greeted by the sweetest hostess. I wish I got her name but, again, hangry had a mind of its own. We got there shortly after opening and she sat us at a cozy outside table. Sails, flowers abound as does cleanliness. Our waiter was equally as nice. He was also very cordial and attentive. My wife ordered a California omelette which was filled with avocado, tomatoes and feta. The omelette was beautiful. The eggs weren’t cooked brown like some places put in front of you. And the ingredients were enveloped in the eggs, the way an omelet should be presented. Not everything mixed together and thrown on a hot grill. I got the Number 8. Two perfectly cooked over easy eggs (don’t believe me? Look at the picture, sucker), two strips of bacon, home fries and two of the fluffiest most delicious pancakes I’ve ever inhaled. And to top this all off they give you…GIVE you, real maple syrup. Not that high fructose corn syrup crap stained brown. Most places upcharge for this. Not Liz. So, as you can see, I only took a picture of my food. Because…yup…hangry. But everything was excellent: food, service, ambience 💯. And if that is not enough, we met Liz upon our exit. What a doll. She was engaging, funny and Italian. What the hell is not to love? We could have talked to her for hours. A pure delight! We vowed to come back for dinner on our next summer’s visit to the outer cape. And until then we will look forward to it! Keep it up Liz and staff. You guys are killing it!
