6.5 years has seemed like a lifetime and a blink of an eye. This last day at Bayberry Beer Hall snuck up on us and now the memories, both good and bad have come rushing in at an overwhelming pace. To be honest, we’ve been somewhat dreading this farewell post for the simple fact of trying to sum up our time and tie a nice & neat little bow on all that has happened.
We grew between these four walls. Professionally, we cut our teeth hard into the world of hospitality here. Personally, we raised a family in and around this space. The day we first laid eyes on this location was the same week we found out we were going to be parents. Later our son learned to crawl every inch of this construction zone. The baby shower for our daughter was held here surrounded by family, friends and staff members. Now it’s countless family brunches with them running between the tables, pretzels to-go and seeing Santa every December.
We’ve been the first date for many that went on to get married, have kids and enjoy numerous meals as a family here. It’s been the weekly watering hole for so many. The place for complete strangers to sit shoulder to shoulder and eventually become great friends. We’ve shut down the street and blown it out for our anniversary party every year. Held countless tap takeovers that just seemed to get bigger and bigger each time. The kitchen that consistently cranked out really delicious food. The bar that poured a TON of amazing beer every single week. The home to so many of our staff members.
Thank you to all the incredible breweries who allowed us to introduce their beer to Rhode Island. Thank you to the local farmers who kept our walk-in stocked. To all the people who have ever walked through our doors, and the ones we now call friends. None of this would have ever lasted as long as it did without your love and support. So, truly thank you for making memories with us and bringing this place to life.
