Our May Cocktails for a Cause feature, Balefire, is a bright spring cocktail made with Japanese whisky, strawberry shrub, grapefruit bitters, and soda — refreshing, layered, and served on draft.

This month, a portion of proceeds supports the Newport Festivals Foundation ( ) and their music education programs providing free private lessons for Rhode Island students ages 9–18.
