✨ Dear Intercambio attendees,

We feel so very thankful for this wonderful weekend with all of you. Having dancers from so many communities, and having students from 10 different tango university clubs, show up and bring all of this amazing energy was inspiring. A big thank you also to our team of wonderful teachers, lecturers and DJs, Eleonora Kalganova, Rod R Tango, Jay Abling, Rainier Pereira, Tara TP, and Kim Dai, as well as all of our volunteers (from those who have helped us with lifts, hosting, food, clean up, room booking and all the rest). We hope you all made it home safely and are catching up on sleep (something we are definitely catching up on😉).

When you have a few moments we would love to have your feedback on the event - we have sent an email with a link to the survey. You will also find some links to the experts' social media pages, as well as Sean's powerpoint presentation.

Thank you again to all of you and keep your eyes and ears open for Intercambio 2026!

Jackie Pham, Sean Ericson and Melina Mistral

PS: There were a few items left behind at the end of the event. If you happened to have left your jacket, water bottle, umbrella, ect., please let us know and we can see if we have it.

FRIDAY, January 31st, from 5:30 to 7pm, Alex Pacheco, .pchc, will be offering a wonderful workshop before the community diner, that we greatly recommend! It’s part of your registration, so don’t miss it!

The workshop:
Tango technique: the way we dance and the communities we build.
In this workshop we will explore the part that technique plays in the shaping both of the dance and of the social dynamics in tango communities.

About Alex:
Alex Pacheco (México) has been dancing social tango since 2006. For more than 10 years, they have been organizing workshops for q***r people, le****ns, and women through the practice of q***r and transfeminist tango. On their project Tango Disidente they are teaching both roles and promoting q***r tango in Mexico. They are interested in exploring tango as a tool for building deeper connections and communities that can be spaces for social transformation.
