Goal accomplished, dream fulfilled, time to turn the page- Lucille's has been sold. The rumors are indeed true.
This has been an amazing experience that I dreamed about for years. I did not think it was possible, but I found this crazy chef that after 3 years of convincing, took a leap of faith and joined that dream. There was very little plan, except to offer Prescott something a little different. To create a work environment that was fun, where staff were a part of the plan. A type of restaurant that I craved to go to and work at when I was early in my career. Unique and a bit fancy, but nothing too fancy. I think we did a pretty good job.
It is time to move on and I am excited! No clue what I will do next.
I am fine with that. I always say I land on my feet. Currently one needs a face lift so when that is done, we shall see. Anything is possible, especially when you are a bit crazy. The process of selling has been emotional so if I have been distant or weird at times, please understand. There may be lots of tears in the coming days.
The people that I have had the opportunity to work with at Lucille's have been incredible. Some of them followed me and I have known for years. Others I was fortunate to have walk through the door. They brought it. Delivered time and time again. The food, drinks and service were something we have been very proud of. Many of the staff have grown and are turning the pages themselves. It has been a joy to watch them grow, learn, and do their own thing. I have mentored a lot of young people, but the ones here have been outstanding. I am sad to miss the newest crop of high school kids grow up and I want to thank the parents that sent their teens to me throughout the years. I appreciated it.
I am so grateful to have met so many fantastic people. Our loyal guests are the icing on the cake! Your appreciation for what we have done is always so genuine and kind. I cannot tell you enough how that has made an impact on our determination and enthusiasm to deliver, as well as surprise you with something new. Thank you!
Our last day of operation will be Saturday September 28th. I will keep you updated if anything changes. We hope to see lots of you one last time.
Thank you for the experience. Thank you for the memories-
Kimberly Braun and Rockstar staff.
