Last Thursday was a beautiful reminder of what can happen when a community comes together for someone who meant so much to so many.
At Concentric Brewing Company, joined by First Selectman Michael Pelton, Eli Cannon’s, Farrell’s Restaurant, Portland Fire Company #2, and Katie’s family and friends, we had the honor of presenting a check for $7,039 to establish the Katie Elizabeth Rau Scholarship Fund in Katie’s memory. ❤️
This incredible gift was made possible one beer, one donation, and one act of kindness at a time.
For every Forever Red poured at Concentric, Eli Cannon’s, and Farrell’s, $1 was donated to the fund. Friends, family, community members, and even complete strangers contributed as well — all wanting to be part of honoring Katie and helping her memory live on.

A number we are incredibly proud of, but what it represents means even more: a community that showed up, gave generously, and made sure Katie’s legacy will continue to make a difference in the lives of others.
