Vagabond Brewing is happy to announce the opening of their fourth location, and first in Portland, Oregon. The approximately 5,500 square foot brewpub occupies the Northeast corner of The Dairy Building, a renovated industrial, mixed-use space located in the Ford District of the Hosford-Abernethy neighborhood in Southeast Portland.

About Vagabond Brewing Portland

The brewpub is located at 2715 SE 8th Ave, Suite 175, Portland, Oregon, 97202. Regular hours are slated for 11am-10pm Sunday-Thursday, and 11am-11pm Friday-Saturday. Ample on-site paid parking is available, with free short-term street parking in the area.

A 7-barrel brewhouse, fabricated by Practical Fusion, is set to be operational by early Spring. Until then, beer will be produced on Vagabond’s 10-barrel brew system in Salem, Oregon.

One of the special attractions of the brewpub is a 1958 Cessna 310B. It had crashed in a field in British Columbia ten years prior to being picked up by the Vagabond crew. They drove up, disassembled it, and drove it back to Salem in three days time, getting very little sleep. Acquiring it wouldn’t have been possible without the help of their friend Ken Brady, the Vandenborn Militia, and the Vanderhoof Fire Department.

The Portland location is run by General Manager Kyle Jensen, who brings ten years of industry experience from places like Deschutes Brewery, Fat Head’s Brewing, Saraveza, and Breakside Slabtown.

A full food menu will be provided, helmed by Head Chef Victor Deras. Previously of Olympia Provisions, his vision for Vagabond’s cuisine is based on straightforward comfort foods made with seasonal ingredients. He’s focused on smoked, preserved, or fermented options, each built to compliment the beer served. Approachable portion sizes are a priority, as he offers quantities that satisfy the appetite without overwhelming.

The cocktail program has been developed by Bar Manager David Belcher and Assistant General Manager Mark Kujat. With the help of the team, they created a specialty cocktail lineup that’s based on travel destinations the owners and managers love. Each drink represents a different area of the world, made with locally sourced & seasonal ingredients.
