Stomptown is Portland's home for LGBTQ Country Western Two-Step, Waltz, Swing, Shadow, and anything else that fits into the line of dance!

No partner or special dance skills required! We open every dance with a lesson at 7pm. IG:

Come join us as we dance in Portland Pride this year on Sunday, July 19! There are no shortage of good reasons:
- Another cute ass q***r shirt (I mean look at this design)
- People cheering you on to your favorite dances
- Celebrating q***r joy with dance
- A familiar favorite line dance to show the crowd ("High Class" if you're curious, which we'll teach again this month)

Friday, June 5 - 2 Improver Line Dances (Baby Boo & Ride a Cowgirl)
Saturday, June 6 - Quick Stomptown teach at Hillsboro Pride (Redneck Angel)
Friday, June 12 - Intermediate Line Dance (High Class - we'll dance this at the Pride Parade in July!)
Saturday, June 20 - Pattern Dance (Horshoe Shuffle)
Thursday, June 25 - Line Dance ONLY event with two teaches (Hey Cowboy & Pieces to the Puzzle)

Prep yourselves, because we have TWO line dances teaches this Friday at Escape! Natalie will debut teaching "Baby Boo", an Improver line dance at 7pm, and at 9pm, we'll have a special guest instructor AND choreographer from Atlanta!

Garret Boyd is visiting town and will be teaching an Improver line dance "Ride a Cowgirl" that he also choreographed! DJ Ryan will be giving us tunes through the rest of the night, so come enjoy.

Reminder for y'all that Stomptown Prom's Garden Party is THIS SATURDAY, with all the details on our previous post (conveniently also the second slide here). Since we're gonna have lots of extra decorations as well as corsages and boutonnières available for purchase, volunteers to help out are even more important and valuable!

Sign up for Saturday spots at the link in bio and get in free as a token of our appreciation. If you happen to be free Friday eve and want to help out putting together the materials for our fundraiser, give us a holler in the DMs - we're still looking for 2-3 more volunteers there as well!

Did you see Stomptown dance last year at Roller Derby and want an encore? Or did you hear about Portland's new Bootscamps team performance at Emerald City Hoedown in Seattle and worry you missed your opportunity to see them? Then grab your tickets now because BOTH are coming to a roller derby halftime show near you Saturday May 9th for the Wreckers Western Night!

There will be two performances by Stomptown, followed by a encore performance of the Bootscamps routine made famous at Hoedown - you won't want to miss it! There are two games that day, make sure you buy tickets for the 2nd game where the Wreckers are playing, link in bio or at the Events Page on Rose City Rollers dot com. See you there!!

Friday 5/1 - Beginner Line Dance "Austin" with Patrick at Escape Bar and Grill
Friday 5/8 - Improver Line Dance "Rattlesnake Kiss" with Caitlyn at Escape Bar and Grill
Saturday 5/9 - Stomptown and BootScamps Halftime Performance at Rose City Roller Derby (with the Wreckers, 2nd game of the day)
Saturday 5/16 - Q***r Prom (Garden Party Themed) with Fundraiser & Two Step Lesson with Terry at Norse Hall

We ain't Austin, but this Portland crew is gonna do our best this Friday (May 1)! Catch a beginner teach to the song "Austin" by Patrick at 7pm and a Stomptown DJ debut by DJ Celeste, already known for their great skills in the West Coast scene, so we know it'll be great. Remember to tip your bartenders, and check the comments for transport, accessibility, and lesson resource info!

Q***r Prom Garden Party!!!

Step into a whimsical night with Stomptown next month, Saturday May 16! Whether you’re draped in florals, pastels, leather and lace, or serving garden royalty—this q***r prom is for you, exactly as you are.
Grab a handmade corsage ($20) or boutonnière ($10) at the door to support the event and help raise funds for more dancing! Bring your people and stay awhile!
A photographer will be capturing moments from 8–10pm, many of which might have the bonus option of getting you featured in future Stomptown announcements! For those not wanting to be photographed, we will have neon yellow bandanas to indicate this to our photographer.

Doors open at 6:50, dancing begins at 7:00. The cover charge is a suggested donation of $10-$20. No one turned away for lack of funds. Check out the comments for details on location, accessibility, and lesson information.
