You're looking at the mastermind behind the ever-growing Montavilla Jazz, Neil Mattson. Along with a mighty crew of volunteers and fellow jazz lovers, Neil has grown a community around jazz in Montavilla and MBW is stoked to be a part of it. Neil and Michael go way back to jazz school in Detroit, so this weekend has plenty of meaning for them both! 🙏

The jazz fest goes all weekend long with performances at several Montavilla venues and beyond:

The incomparable DJ MD will be back on the patio THIS Saturday, 8/29 spinning his incredible vinyl collection for y’all. Also, for you audiophiles out there, we’re hosting our first ever Vinyl Trade & Exchange!
This is how it works: you bring in your vinyl records to swap out with fellow collectors. No currency exchanged, no selling, just meeting up with other vinylheads and exchanging wax. It’s that simple! See you on the patio!

Saturday, 8/15, from 6-8pm, we’ve got a NEIL YOUNG TRIBUTE SHOW with Sgt. Klaver’s Band! This four-piece group is spear-headed by our old pal (and b**rtender) Nick and promises to be a great show, so get there early! Food pop-up: Oi! The Sausage will be slinging handmade sausages on the patio! 🌭
