At The Sports Bra, our mission is simple: support, promote, and empower ALL girls and women in sports. To be clear: trans girls are girls, and trans women are women.

Since day one, we’ve built our space to be inclusive, especially for people who don’t feel comfortable at a traditional sports bar. That includes LGBTQ+ community members. As a reminder, the T stands for trans. We welcome people of every identity and background, but we do not tolerate messages or conduct that demean or exclude the very community we exist to serve and celebrate.

On Sunday, Sept. 6, a group entered wearing apparel with messages advocating for the exclusion of trans women from sports. When our team respectfully gave the group the choice to cover the anti-trans messaging or leave, they chose to leave.

We stand firmly committed to inclusion and belonging for everyone who walks through our doors. Thank you for standing with us.

Big news from The Sports Bra Front Office! 🏀✨ Please help us give a warm welcome to our new Director of Operations, Tiffany Perez!

Tiffany joins The Sports Bra with 18+ years of restaurant and franchise experience scaling emerging brands including leadership roles at Salata Salad Kitchen, Potbelly, and Panera Bread.

In her new role, Tiffany will work to build our franchise operations blueprint, support new restaurant openings, and coach franchise owners toward long-term success. Plus, she’ll be hands-on at our OG Portland, OR location!

We are still feeling inspired after an unforgettable evening at Cinema 21 last week. Huge thanks to QDoc and Cinema 21 for having us and for bringing us together to watch “She Runs The World.” 🏅🏃🏾‍♀️

After the screening, we got to sit in on a live Q&A with Allyson and Wes Felix. Allyson is the absolute definition of strength, grace, and resilience, not just as the most decorated track and field Olympian of all time, but as a fearless advocate pushing the sport forward for women everywhere. Today we celebrate Women’s Equality Day! 🤝💪💚

Today is a reminder of how far we’ve come and the power of women breaking barriers everywhere. But true equality means demanding respect in every sports space, every single day.

When large brands still drive marketing campaigns that treat women as punchlines or minimize respect for women athletes (IYKYK), it’s a stark reminder that the fight for a truly safe, inclusive, and equal sports culture is far from over. Women athletes deserve respect, safety, and equal opportunity on par with men. Period.

At The Bra, we cheer on women athletes pushing limits (not being pushed), inspiring change, and making the sports world more equal. We will always stand up, speak out, and build spaces where women are valued and celebrated. Here’s to progress, accountability, and the unstoppable force that is women in sports!
