At Ascendant Beer Company we’re all about crafting delicious small-batch beers, a thoughtfully curated list of local spirits & wine, and classic pub fare. And as though that wasn’t enough we also offer a boutique coffee experience! From 7am – 11:30am on weekdays we invite you to enjoy locally roasted coffee and a selection of pastries. We’re also proud to offer brunch on the weekends from 11am – 2

pm. Every day from 3pm- 6pm and 9pm – close. Come join us in Old Town and experience our rustic taproom with a modern industrial flair, or enjoy a brew on our patio on our beautifully tree-lined street. This is just the Portland experience you’ve been looking for.

We are Ascendant.

We are the new generation of Old Town Portland, Oregon. This spot has a rich history of the blue collar worker and we want to pay homage to those roots. But this town has gone through some changes, and we are now the descendants of those who literally built our city.

This city also has a rich and varied history of craft beer, and we’re honored to be a part of that culture. So what sets us apart? It’s our quaint 3.5bbl brew system and our dynamic team of brewers. With small batches we have the freedom and flexibility to experiment, to explore thoughtful executions and creative interpretations. We’re also happy to anchor ourselves in a selection of sturdy and modern core beers. These aren’t your old stand-by brews - they’re every bit as rustic as they are innovative.

We’re also here to power you through your morning routines, with Ascendant Coffee Company - from 7am-11:30am Monday through Friday we have professional baristas on hand to craft your perfect stimulation.

As though that weren’t enough, we also proudly feature a scratch kitchen. Dedicated to elevating traditional pub grub through responsibly sourced ingredients, lovingly crafted to tantalize even the most discerning palate.
