We ALL get to play quizzery tonight! I’m on a Canadian Maritimes cruise with my nieces and nephew (and some familial adults too!)…y’all, this is Mary Smith, Kate and Colin‘s cousin! I haven’t found the best way to get her into the act yet, but I’m working on it. Mary Smith and I did great as a two-top playing music trivia, and I think you’re going to love my I Don’t Feel Tardy round tonight. It’ll be hosted by my old school trivia jockey John Doyle. As mysteriously as it arrived, EastBurn has disappeared. Nevertheless, Bare Bones persists! And because we don’t want any Triviology orphans on Thursdays, for one night only I am going to hand over hosting to East Burn trivia jockey John Doyle! Come see him in action at bare Bones while you can. In the meantime, I will certainly be wrangling a new venue for John that is worthy of his talents…and we are open to suggestions. Quizzery at 7:00. And just to warm up your brain cells…anybody know where John is in this picture?

I just received some unfortunate news, Triviology patrons. The powers that be at EastBurn have apruptly decided to close; tonight will be their last night of existence. I truly wish we could have had at least one more trivia game together there, but it is not meant to be. I’ve been at East Burn since they opened way back in 2008, and we’ve had quite an array of wonderful shenanigans there. I chose this picture as a beloved memory because it includes very good friends who I met through the quizzery, as well as one of the greatest bartenders in Triviology history, Paul. I must also thank John Doyle, who took over for me at East Burn last year so that I could host at Bare Bones (where trivia nevertheless persists!). John carried that torch with joy and intelligence, and I know you will miss playing with him each Thursday. And thanks to all of you who have been hanging at East Burn with us from the Iron Maiden Voyage to the Final Countdown! I’d even like to thank AutoCorrect for invariably insisting on changing East Burn to “east sperm.” Godspeed.
