✨ Portland Mercury approved. ✨

We’re honored to see Carlos Niño & Friends featured in the new Music Issue as one of this week’s standout picks. The Mercury describes Carlos’ world as flutes, gongs, leaf bundles, and spiritual jazz energy — a fitting preview for what promises to be a deeply transportive night at Jack London R***e. The article calls the new album Bubble Bath for Giants “a reverence for Oceans, for the Mighty Magnificent Power of Fairies…” and honestly? We’re ready to be fully immersed.

Catch Carlos Niño & Friends live at Jack London R***e this Saturday, May 16 with opening support from Aaron Shaw. Bring your curiosity, your open ears, and your corporeal vessel. 🌊✨

🤩 JUST ANNOUNCED 🤩
Soul’d Out Presents: An Evening with Fonville x Fribush

Fonville x Fribush is the new collaboration from acclaimed drummer Corey Fonville of Butcher Brown and in-demand organist Sam Fribush. Rooted in the spirit of a 90s hip-hop link up, the duo pushes the R&B organ trio into something fresh, groove-forward, and unmistakably modern.

With a rotating cast of standout guitarists including Charlie Hunter, Alan Good Parker, and Morgan Burrs, their sound pulls from the Atlantic Coast roots of North Carolina and Virginia, blending blue collar jazz with deep pocket rhythm and soul. Tracks like “I Couldn’t Love You More” and “Blue Chips” set the tone for a project that feels both classic and forward-thinking.
