Moe DuPree is going to jail...right after this gig. But as he wails his tunes one last time, three sultry singers crash the pa

rty looking for a piece of the musical action and, perhaps, him. Moe’s blues legacy, future happiness, and two years’ hard-earned sobriety hang in the balance as he struggles to find the one woman – just this one – he can trust. Based on the amazing songs of Portland blues legend Paul deLay, with a script by Oregon Book Award finalist Wayne Harrel, this new musical stars a stage-full of Oregon blues all-stars: LaRhonda Steele, Lisa Mann, Saeeda Wright, Ben Rice, Dave Fleschner, Hank Shreve, and Carlton Jackson. About Paul deLay:

Paul deLay ranks among the world’s greatest blues harmonica players, songwriters and singers. The three-time W.C. Handy Award nominee is a member of the Cascade Blues Association Hall of Fame and was honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award in 1995. Heavy Rotation, the Paul deLay Band's 2001 release on Evidence, peaked at #1 on the Living Blues radio charts, the fourth consecutive recording by the band to land in the Top Ten. But in January of 1990, none of this was on the horizon, since Paul was in a downward spiral of cocaine addiction and was arrested by federal agents for drug trafficking. Fortunately, the bust inspired deLay to give up drugs and drinking cold turkey. With a clear head - and the inspiration of a new love – he finally wrote the songs that had been singing in his head. By the time of his sentencing, Paul had recorded two albums of original work. Forty-one months after his “federally funded artists retreat,” he came out with material for another two. Then began a twelve year celebration of life, love and second chances from the biggest heart the fabled northwest blues scene has yet produced. www.pauldelay.com
